Membership Benefits and Guidelines
The East Coast Homeschool
Organization is an authorized non-profit association on Camp LeJeune.
ECHO members are encouraged to share their experiences with other
homeschooling families seeking a support group. Our
aim is to do all we can to give families a positive experience and meet the needs
of the members.
Benefits of a Paid Membership
- Memberships promote a sense of ownership.
- Membership fees help pay for craft supplies and
other things throught the year.
- Memberships create fairness in planning activities.
- The Governing Body can better assist the group
as a whole.
- Planning and accomplishing events become easier.
- The needs of all members can be addressed.
- Memberships protect the group from dying out
because the chances of volunteer burnout are reduced greatly.
- Volunteering becomes easier as the members know
what to expect.
Guidelines for ECHO Members
- ECHO
is an exclusive support group that any homeschooling family may join providing
they agree with the Mission Statement of the Association.
- Members may invite nonmembers to specific functions
when guests are permitted.
- ECHO
will network to organize activities with other homeschooling support groups
when the opportunity arises.
- Tobacco, firearms, knives, or devices considered a "weapon" or illicit
drugs are prohibited at any and all of ECHO
functions and meetings.
